government district of the Wellington Region in

of Wellington City. The district is named after
Kapiti Island, a prominent island 5 kilometres offshore.

Lyall
Bay is a bay and suburb on the south side of the
Rongotai isthmus in Wellington, New Zealand. The
bay is a popular surf beach, featuring a breakwater
at the eastern end. It is home to two surf lifesaving

webcams in Arthur's Pass village looking north and
west from the same location (Rough Creek), and a
Transit NZ webcam looking south through the Village.
A further webcam is situated at the Arthur's Pass
Radio Repeater site (1125m) pointing east towards
Temple Basin ski-field.

and tourists flock to it for the annual summer carnival.

Situated on the crystal-clear waters
of New Zealand's fourth-largest lake, just a short
drive from Mount Aspiring National Park, Wanaka
is an ideal spot to go fishing, hiking, skiing,
wine-tasting or golfing. The city also hosts Warbirds
Over Wanaka, the largest three-day air show in
the Southern Hemisphere.

Queenstown Airport has a single
terminal building which services both domestic
and international flights. The terminal itself
is open 05:30 until 2230, daily. Passengers are
not able to sleep at Queenstown Airport overnight.

Scott Base is a New Zealand Antarctic
research station at Pram Point on Ross Island
near Mount Erebus in New Zealand's Ross Dependency
territorial claim. It was named in honour of Captain
Robert Falcon Scott, RN, leader of two British
expeditions to the Ross Sea area of Antarctica.
